Jesus said, “Anyone who comes to me without hating father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes and his own life too, cannot be my disciple.” – Luke 14:26. Do these words seem too harsh to you? Fr. Basil preached a masterful homily last night at St. Peter’s explaining them. “How willing are you to make Christ the center of your life?” he asked. So many of us put family first and consider it a virtue.
